Best Mexican Restaurants in Paris

Mexican food in Paris can mean a variety of things, some good and some bad, from microwavable burritos to overpriced margaritas where they nickel and dime ya for tortilla chips. However, being from Colorado where Mexican food was a weekly staple in my upbringing. Many people warned me that I would be disappointed with Mexican food in France… But, I, being of brave soul and sound mind, took on the very impossible task of finding good Mexican food in Paris.

1. El Nopal
The restaurant itself is pretty small but my favorite Mexican food in Paris by far. Delicious tacos, guacamole and margaritas. The food is so good, it’s the real deal!

Price range: 11-20€

Two Locations:
5 Rue Duperré, 75009 Paris
3 Rue Eugène Varlin, 75010 Paris

2. Distrito Frances
A new take on Mexican food- great tacos and margaritas, great dinner spot. I would call this Mexican with a twist others refer to it as Mexican Fusion Cuisine. It’s not your typical taco combos but still really delicious.

Price range: 11-20€

10 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Martin, 75010 Paris

3. El Guacamole
The space is tiny but great interior decor and even better food. They have a menu option of 3 different tacos of your choice + a drink for 10€ or 3 different tacos of your choice + a margarita for 18€.

Price range: 11-20€

37 Rue Yves Toudic, 75010 Paris

4. Candelaria
Enjoy tacos and frozen margaritas in the front before heading into the hidden bar in the back. Weekends are busy and very crowded. For the tacos they use corn tortillas and the ingredients are always changing depending on what is in season and they have in stock that week.

Price range: 11-20€

52 Rue de Saintonge, 75003 Paris

Other Mexican Restaurants in Paris

Fajitas – Margaritas are expensive and they charge 2 euros each time you ask for more chips.. which is inevitable seeing as an order of Guacamole comes with only 10 chips.

Mexi & Co – Has a great lunch special!

El Sol y la Luna – I have never been but could be worthy of a visit.
